Vision is the most important sense when it comes to learning and it is the key to 80% of a child’s learning.
If the eyes develop poorly it may begin to affect the child’s learning.
The optometrist has special tests that make the eye examination fun but can also determine if the child is shortsighted, longsighted or astigmatic and whether the eyes work together, track well and are healthy.
Eye exercises and vision therapy can help with this. Amblyopia (or lazy eye) can also be treated.
